Before you invest your time filling out this questionnaire, allow me to briefly discuss my approach to client work and what kind of projects I take on. I want you to have your eyes wide open as to what kind of professional service you’re soliciting.
First, this questionnaire is an involved process because it allows me to collect and document as much important information as possible in order to prepare us for a successful project. I want to be able to do my best work for you!
Thank you for seeking me out for character design work. Your design project will include a timelapse video, and a non-narrated full-length video of the production of your commission. Pretty sweet deal, right?
Bear in mind that all work you solicit from me is subject to approval. I generally don’t work with material that exceeds a PG-13 rating. Excessively sexual, vulgar, crude, shocking, or violent subject matter is likely not going to pass muster. Also, right to refuse service and all that.
I don’t display rates or prices up front because I’m working to make something special for you that exceeds the commodified norm of the design market. I make use of a contract that protects us both when you engage my services so we both know how to get along with each other and how to proceed if something bad happens.
I take my work seriously out of respect for you and the needs of your project. Please account for that in your own understanding of the service you’re investing in.
