30th Tails

Thew best wingman you could ask for. Except with tails.

This one was a bit of a unique exercise. A lot of moving parts in terms of new design elements.

In thinking about this design I was brought to think about Tails as an inventor, not just a sidekick. Therein came the inspiration to add in more work-style boots in place of shoes, a pair of safety goggles, and a tool belt. The wrench just kind of made sense after that.

In establishing a little more mature of an appearance I wanted to make use of kind of a high-schooler physique as opposed to a kid’s, and added in some of the dark coloration present in nature on actual foxes.

In doing so I hope I preserved the original energy and essence of the character while bringing in a greater sense of strength and ability to the character.
